Roll Stock Film Packaging is different from product 55. It is not for making pouches. It is for overwrapping – like a sleeve around a product or a top seal on a tray. You see it on ice cream bars, granola bars, and individual cheese slices. The film simply wraps around the product and seals at the ends. No bottom gusset. No side folds.

An ice cream company had a problem. Their old film cracked in the freezer tunnel at -30°C. They tried our Roll Stock Film Packaging – a single layer of low-density polyethylene (LDPE) with a special cold-resistant additive. The film stayed flexible. No cracking. The printing did not flake. They now buy 100,000 meters per month. A chocolate maker also uses our film to wrap individual truffles. They need a twist-wrap film – one that holds the twist shape. We provided a cast PP film. The twist stayed tight even after weeks in a box.

We offer three main materials for this product. LDPE – soft, flexible, good for cold temperatures. PP – stiffer, clearer, good for twist wrapping. BOPP – strong, printable, good for high-speed wrapping. The thickness ranges from 30 to 60 microns. For printing, we use rotogravure or flexo – both available. Our Italian Omet flexo press prints up to 10 colors. AVT inspection checks for missing dots and color registration. We also test the coefficient of friction – the film's slip property. For high-speed wrapping, we adjust it to 0.2 to 0.3.
