Flexible Packaging Rollstock is a wide roll of laminated film. It feeds into vertical form-fill-seal machines (VFFS) or horizontal form-fill-seal machines (HFFS). The machine forms a pouch, fills it with product, and seals it – all in one continuous motion. We make this rollstock for snacks, coffee, frozen food, pet treats, and many other products.
A Coffee Roaster's Requirement
A coffee roaster in Seattle needed a rollstock that could hold whole beans and keep them fresh for six months. They also wanted a degassing valve – a one-way valve that lets CO2 out but keeps oxygen in. We made a three-layer laminate: PET on the outside for printing, aluminum foil in the middle for barrier, and PE on the inside for heat sealing. We pre-punched the valve hole on the roll. The roaster ran 100,000 bags through their machine. No jams. The coffee stayed fresh. They now buy a full container every quarter.
Material Structure and Barrier Properties
Our standard structure for dry food is PET 12µm / Alu 9µm / PE 70µm. The aluminum layer blocks oxygen, light, and moisture. Oxygen transmission rate is below 1 cc/m²/day. For products that do not need that much barrier, we offer PET/PE or PET/metallized PET/PE. For wet or oily products, we use a thicker seal layer. We control the seal strength to be between 25N and 35N per 15mm width – strong enough to hold but easy for consumers to open. The film width ranges from 200mm to 800mm. The roll length can go up to 2,000 meters.

Send us your bag dimensions, target fill weight, and product type. We will recommend the right laminate. MOQ is 20,000 bags worth of film (about 2,000 to 5,000 linear meters depending on bag size).
