The relative humidity of the storage environment should be maintained between 40% and 60%. Excessive humidity can cause the labels to become damp, leading to softening and mold growth on the paper and condensation on the film surface, affecting the label's appearance and adhesiveness. Insufficient humidity can make the label material dry and brittle, especially paper labels, which are prone to cracking. Furthermore, the storage environment should be clean and well-ventilated. Avoid dust and debris adhering to the label surface, as this can affect the printing quality and adhesiveness of the self-adhesive labels.
Good ventilation prevents odor buildup and ensures label quality remains unaffected. Self-adhesive labels should also be kept away from direct sunlight. Ultraviolet rays in sunlight can damage the label material and adhesive, causing fading, aging, and reducing their stickiness and lifespan. Therefore, labels should be stored in a dark, shaded place. When storing, labels should be stacked neatly to avoid squeezing or collisions. Squeezing labels may cause adhesive spillage, label deformation, and other problems, affecting their normal use. Furthermore, different types and sizes of labels should be stored separately for easy management and retrieval.
