Sealing performance of self-adhesive printing paper

Self-adhesive printing paper features a pressure-sensitive adhesive layer on the back. This adhesive layer, when lightly pressed, adheres firmly to the surface, preventing dust, moisture, or impurities from entering the label and the covered area. For document covers, packaging box seals, or product bag openings, self-adhesive printing paper provides an effective seal, ensuring that the contents are not contaminated or leaked during handling, storage, or transportation. The sealing performance is also closely related to the choice of face stock and adhesive material. Water-, oil-, or chemically resistant synthetic self-adhesive printing paper maintains a seal in humid, oily, or chemically resistant environments, while ordinary paper labels are suitable for dry environments. The strength of the adhesive layer also affects the sealing effect; permanent adhesives provide long-term seals, while removable or reusable adhesives are suitable for temporary sealing or scenarios requiring frequent opening.

 

The sealing performance of self-adhesive printing paper is also affected by the handling method and surface condition. The surface to be adhered to must be clean, flat, and free of dust and oil. When applying the paper, apply even pressure to ensure full contact between the adhesive layer and the surface for optimal sealing. For rolls or large-area labels, a scraper can be used to help flatten them, further improving sealing and long-term stability. By properly selecting materials, adhesive layers, and application methods, self-adhesive printing paper can provide reliable sealing protection in a variety of scenarios.
