Tips for using self-adhesive labels

Apr 02, 2026

When using self-adhesive labels, pay attention to surface preparation. The surface of the object to be labeled should be dry, clean, and free of oil and dust. This ensures the label adheres firmly and prevents it from peeling off or curling. For rough or special material surfaces, clean with alcohol or a dry cloth first to improve adhesive strength.

When applying the label, handle it gently when peeling off the backing paper. Start applying the label from one end and gradually press it flat towards the other end to avoid air bubbles and wrinkles. If the label is large or long, use a scraper or your fingers to apply even pressure along the surface to ensure the adhesive layer fully contacts the object, improving adhesion.

Choose the appropriate label type and usage environment. Select labels with suitable materials and adhesive types based on different usage environments and needs, such as high-temperature resistant, water-resistant, and removable labels. After application, avoid frequent friction or humid environments. Keep the labels clean and tidy to extend their lifespan and ensure clear readability.
